New procedure for applying Online for Indian Citizenship


The Government of India has introduced a new procedure for acquiring Indian Citizenship where the prospective applicants have to apply online for quick processing. Once the online application form is submitted by the applicant, an Internet File Number will be generated automatically which can be used for printing of the online application form and for tracking its status. The hard copy of the online application is to be submitted to the Collector/District Magistrate/ Deputy Commissioner of the area where the applicant is resident.
