• Last date to convert PIO cards into OCI cards was extended up to 30 June, 2017. All PIO card holders residing in Slovenia who have not converted their PIO cards into OCI cards are requested to apply for OCI cards immediately in the Embassy of India, Ljubljana.

India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians (IDF-OI)



India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians (IDF-OI) is a not-for-profit trust registered under Government of India established to serve as a credible institutional avenue to enable Overseas Indians to engage in philanthropy to supplement India's social and development efforts. IDF-OI channelises the philanthropic propensities and resources of the Overseas Indian community into national development and social projects. The Trust is chaired by Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Hon'ble Minister of External Affairs. The Trust is exempt from the provisions of Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), 2010.

In 2015-16, IDF OI has focused its efforts on enhancing Diaspora's contribution to India's social & development programme and increase outreach to the Indian Diaspora. In recent months, some Projects under the Swachh Bharat Mission have been funded with their donations. Two Community Toilets have been constructed in Vijayawada and Amritsar. Two more are being constructed in Sikkim and Amritsar. Details are on IDF-OI Website. Several contributions have been received for National Mission for Clean Ganga. IDF-OI also partners with the State Govts to select projects identified by the State Governments and seek Overseas Indians engagement with these projects.
