International Competitive Bidding for Design, Manufacture, on-site Supply and Maintenance Support for 5 Million GPRS-based Smart Electricity Meters in the Indian states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh over three years

We, Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), one of the first and largest Energy Service Company (ESCO) of South Asia, ​were set up as a Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India through equity participation of four CPSUs of Ministry of Power (NTPC, Power Grid, Power Finance Corp. and Rural Electrification Corp.).

Among the other, the main objective of EESL is to implement the Energy Efficiency projects for demand side measures including Street lighting, Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme (UJALA – LED Bulbs Distribution Programme), Power distribution sector, Agriculture/Municipal pumps and Public Buildings.

We have already distributed more than 20 million domestic LED bulbs and have replaced approximately 2.5 million LED Streetlights all over India.

​The latest in addition to these measures is rolling out of smart meters in the Indian states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

In this context, EESL has published a Notice Inviting T​ender under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) bearing ref.​ EESL E-Tender ID: 1373; NIT/Bid Document No.: EESL/06/ICB-Smart Meters-ESCO-HR-UP/171807030, d​at​ed 01-Aug-2017; closing on 25-Aug-2017; Pre-bid Meeting scheduled for 10-Aug-2017 (India) and for 17-Aug-2017 (London), above for procurement of ​5 million ​Smart Electricity Meters. ​The notice is widely published on the following platforms:
